Wladek Minor, Ph.D.

 

Dr. Wladek Minor is currently a Harrison Distinguished Professor of molecular physiology and biological physics at the University of Virginia, School of Medicine. Dr. Minor has a broad background in structural biology, physics, computer science and bioinformatics. He developed a number of databases and webservers for presenting protein structural analyses. Dr. Minor is a PI/co-PI on several NIH-funded projects, including one with the Center for Structural Genomics of Infectious Diseases (CSGID) since its inception in 2007. He was elected as a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in 2018. Dr. Minor is also a co-founder of HKL Research, Inc. and has extensive experience including but not limited to GUI development, Big Data management, software distribution, customer negotiation and user training.
